Emergency Preparedness – Revisited
This Friday we’re going to be looking at articles from our archive that speak to the idea of emergency preparedness. Whether you’re out in the country or residing in the city, being ready for trouble sure beats trying to work your way out of a jam.
So, let’s look at four articles that address being prepared. The self reliant among us know that it’s better to be prepared than it is to wish we were after trouble settles in around us.
Our first article is from Joan who reminds us that sanitation is an emergency essential. Many of us don’t think about this until our world is turned upside down, but for Joan, she’s going to be on top of this issue right from the start.
Next is Bradley who apparently can’t abide the unsanitary conditions at his place because he’s buggin’ out and making his stand elsewhere. Learn how he’s prepared in the event that evacuation is the best course of action.
Clair offers us a different perspective on being prepared with daily consumables. Not a hardcore prepper, he’s nonetheless seeing the need for taking some precautions in this ever-changing marketplace that suffers from meddlers and miscreants alike.
Last on our list today is an unusual emergency preparedness technique – lasik surgery. As Mark explains it, there are plenty of reasons to make certain you don’t need glasses when the optometrist isn’t readily available and you’re dealing with a world well outside of city limits.

That wraps up another Friday afternoon of dipping into our archives to take another look at emergency preparedness. We believe our posts to be as useful today as they were when they were first published, and that’s why we resurface them each Friday afternoon – to help make them easier to find.
